The District of Columbia Superior Court is seeking comment on proposed amendments to its criminal, civil procedure, and domestic relations rules. Written comments must be submitted by 5:30 p.m. on May 3, 2023.

D.C. Superior Court will update its electronic filing system (eFileDC) website for Phase 1 filers on April 19. Users will notice a new look and feel to numerous pages, including the landing, login, and case information pages. Note that there are no revisions to filing procedures.

The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission has recommended to President Biden six candidates for judicial vacancies on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia created by the retirement of Judges William W. Nooter and John M. Campbell. The president has 60 days to select a nominee for each vacancy.

Judge Gladys Kessler, who served 17 years on D.C. Superior Court and 23 years on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, died on March 16 from complications arising from pneumonia. She was 85.
