Judicial & Bar Conference
Held biennially, the District of Columbia Judicial & Bar Conference brings together the legal community, including lawyers, judges, and Bar leadership to network and discuss timely issues in the profession.
Annual Tax Conference
Each year, the D.C. Bar Tax Community brings together subject matter experts from public and private sector, academia, the IRS, and the Hill present on the latest developments in tax law.
Celebration of Leadership
The annual Celebration of Leadership features the swearing-in of the new D.C. Bar President and an awards dinner acknowledging the extraordinary achievements of D.C. Bar members.
The Presidents Reception honors the incoming president of the Bar and raises funds for the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, the largest provider of pro bono legal help in the District.
Practice 360° is a learning and networking opportunity for small firms and solo practitioners looking to improve the way they work and provide legal services.
The John Payton Leadership Academy aims to provide D.C. Bar members with the motivation and leadership skills needed for Bar leadership and beyond.
Melvin R. Wright Youth Law Fair
The Melvin R. Wright Youth Law Fair is free educational for 9th-12th grade students to meet local lawyers and judges, tour the Courts, and learn about the law through hands-on activities.
Lawyers Have Heart
Since 2018, the Bar has partnered with the American Heart Association for the Lawyers Have Heart 10K, 5K, & Fun Walk to raise funds for research to end heart disease and stroke.
