Helena Trimmer

Helena D. Trimmer is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. In this role, she supports Pro Bono Center’s Legal Programs to identify the social service needs for clients and provide the appropriate services/referrals.

Helena is a committed Social Worker with unwavering dedication to empowering marginalized individuals, spanning children, adolescent, and adults navigating challenges.  Prior to joining the Pro Bono Center, Helena has worked for nearly 15 years with the DC Department on Disability Services Eligibility Determination Unit determining suitability for individuals seeking services for Developmental Disabilities.  She is also a Clinical Therapist for a small private practice.

Helena has earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Howard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York College.
