Amha Sertsu
Amha Sertsu is a Housing Staff Attorney with the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. In this role, he defends tenants in eviction matters, assists pro se litigants with their housing cases, and supervises volunteer attorneys at the Landlord Tenant Resource Center at D.C. Superior Court.
Prior to joining the Pro Bono Center, Amha worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the D.C. Office of Administrative Hearings, Housing Jurisdiction, where he participated in hearings and drafted orders for the Administrative Law Judges.
Amha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 2020.
In his free time, Amha enjoys reading, watching comedy, and playing sports. Amha is bilingual in English and Amharic.
