On November 15 the Superior Court of the District of Columbia issued Administrative Order 23-26 announcing four new members to the Criminal Justice Act (CJA)/Counsel for Child Abuse and Neglect (CCAN) Investigator Panel.
In addition, current and new members of the CJA/CCAN Investigator Panel must submit updated FBI and local background results no later than June 30, 2024.

The D.C. Bar successfully held its 10th annual Tax Conference on January 7–8, drawing more than 600 attendees on the first day that included a keynote address by Kenneth Kies, assistant secretary for tax policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

The D.C. Court of Appeals is seeking comment on proposed amendments to D.C. App. R. 46 reflecting the court’s plan to shift to the NextGen Uniform Bar Examination (NextGen UBE) beginning February 2028.
