Superior Court Authorizes Access to Juvenile Records

On August 7 the Superior Court of the District of Columbia issued Administrative Order 23-13 requiring the executive director of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) to provide the executive officer of the D.C. Courts with a list of authorized CJCC employees permitted to inspect juvenile records. Furthermore, the CJCC may share with members of the Juvenile Justice Advisory Group aggregate data and information generated from juvenile case records, social records, and police and other law enforcement records of juveniles in the PINS (persons in need of supervision) and delinquency system.

At Judicial Luncheon, D.C. Courts and D.C. Bar Leaders Celebrate Strong Partnership

On April 25, the District of Columbia bench and bar came together at the D.C. Bar headquarters for the 2024 Judicial Leadership Luncheon. Themed “Next Generation of the D.C. Bar: Preparing for the Future,” the event highlighted some of the challenges the D.C. Bar, the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, and the D.C. Courts are facing as well as some their respective accomplishments.
