Participate as an Attorney Discipline Volunteer

  • Print Page

The Board on Professional Responsibility needs attorneys and non attorneys to serve on the Hearing Committees before whom disciplinary cases are tried.  The Board seeks applicants with a broad range of professional experience and who represent the Bar’s diverse membership.  Mature good judgment, the ability to master a factual record and learn the disciplinary case law, and the judicial temperament necessary to preside at hearings are essential; strong legal writing skills are also required of some Hearing Committee members, because all Hearing Committee decisions are by written report.

Interested candidates should also feel free to contact us directly.  We are always happy to explain Hearing Committee service to interested applicants.
