D.C. Access to Justice Commission Announces Record-Breaking Campaign

The D.C. Access to Justice Commission honors the 40 law firms that together donated a record $7.3 million in 2022 to enhance access to civil legal services in the District. Financial support from the private sector remains critical as D.C. residents face legal needs that were at crisis-level before the pandemic and have continued to intensify in its wake.

Superior Court Amends Landlord and Tenant Branch Rules

On May 15 the Superior Court of the District of Columbia issued Promulgation Order 23-02 amending Rules 3, 3-I, 3-II, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 13-I, 14-I, 14-II, and 16 of the Superior Court Rules of Procedure for the Landlord and Tenant Branch, effective immediately.

Family and friends of the late George Washington Jones Jr. will gather at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home on May 13 to celebrate his life and legacy as a lawyer, advocate, and family man. Jones was a valuable member of the D.C. Bar with a long history of service, including as general counsel, member of its Legal Ethics Committee, member of the Board of Governors, and, finally, president of the Bar.
