Summary: In a reciprocal matter from Maryland, the D.C. Court of Appeals imposed functionally equivalent reciprocal discipline and indefinitely suspended Laumann with a fitness requirement, nunc pro tunc to June 29, 2018. Laumann may seek reinstatement when reinstated in Maryland or in five years, whichever occurs first. In Maryland, Laumann was found to have violated rules relating to competence, diligence, communication, fees, safekeeping property, meritorious claims and contentions, candor to a tribunal, fairness to opposing parties, false statements in bar discipline proceedings, and conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice.
