Summary: In re M. Adriana Koeck. Bar No. 439928. February 8, 2018. The D.C. Court of Appeals suspended Koeck for 60 days with fitness. Koeck improperly disclosed confidences and secrets of her former employer to a newspaper reporter. In addition, Koeck made separate disclosures of confidences to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois, the government of Brazil, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Rule 1.6(a).

Summary: In re M. Adriana Koeck. Bar No. 439928. August 30, 2017. The Board on Professional Responsibility recommends that the D.C. Court of Appeals suspend Koeck for 60 days with fitness. On four separate occasions Koeck, who formerly served as in-house counsel for a corporation, made improper disclosures of that employer’s confidences and secrets to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois, to the press, to Brazilian authorities, and to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Rule 1.6(a).
