Superior Court Senior Judges Long and Mize Seek Reappointment

The D.C. Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure is reviewing the qualifications and fitness of Judge Cheryl M. Long and Judge Gregory E. Mize, who are seeking reappointment for two-year terms as senior judges of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

Judge Long’s current term expires on December 3, 2025, and Judge Mize’s on December 31, 2025.

Members of the bench, bar, and general public may submit comments using several methods described on the commission’s website at Evaluate Candidates | cjdt (dc.gov). The deadline for comments is September 3.

The identity of any person submitting comments will be kept confidential, unless the commenter authorizes the disclosure of their name.
