On November 26 the Board of Judges of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia issued Rule Promulgation Order 19-06 adding Rule 19 (Collection and Subrogation Cases) and approving a conforming amendment to Rule 4 (Service of Process) of the Superior Court Rules of Procedure for the Small Claims and Conciliation Branch. The new rule and the amendment take effect January 2, 2020.

Rules of Professional Conduct 1.6 (Confidentiality of Information), 1.7 (Conflict of Interest: General Rule), 1.16 (Declining or Terminating Representation), and 5.6 (Restrictions on Right to Practice), as largely proposed by the D.C. Bar Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee.

D.C. Superior Court is seeking comment on proposed amendments to Rules 1 and 3–14 of the Superior Court Rules of Procedure of the Tax Division, as well as proposed new Tax Rules 4-I, 6-I, and 13-I.
