D.C. Judges Glickman and Fisher Seek Senior Status

The D.C. Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure is reviewing the qualifications and fitness of D.C. Court of Appeals Judge Stephen H. Glickman and D.C. Superior Court Judge Gerald I. Fisher, who are both seeking initial appointment as senior judges following their retirement.

The commission invites comments from the bench, bar, and general public regarding Judge Glickman’s and Judge Fisher’s applications. The deadline for comments is June 17.

Comments may be submitted in writing to the commission’s office at 515 Fifth Street, N.W., Room 246, Washington, D.C. 20001, or by email to [email protected]. In addition, comments may be submitted through an online survey . The identity of any person submitting comments will be kept confidential, unless the commenter authorizes the disclosure of his or her name.

JNC Recommends Three Candidates for Superior Court Vacancy

The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission has recommended to President Biden three candidates for a judicial vacancy on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia created by the retirement of Judge Anita Josey-Herring. The president has 60 days to select a nominee to fill this vacancy.
