Superior Court Reestablishes CJA/CCAN Investigator Panel Members

November 03, 2022

On November 1 the Superior Court of the District of Columbia issued Administrative Order 22-32 recertifying Criminal Justice Act (CJA) and Counsel for Child Abuse and Neglect (CCAN) program investigators.

The reestablishment of the CJA/CCAN Investigator Panel takes place every four years, and every two years the investigator panel members must undergo a background check. However, due to the current pandemic and reduced government operations, there have been delays in obtaining the required background checks.

Members of the CJA/CCAN Investigator Panel established by Administrative Order 19-02 shall remain on the panel, subject to the requirement that they submit updated FBI and local background results no later than June 30, 2023.
