JNC Seeks Comments on Candidates for Superior Court Appointment

The D.C. Judicial Nomination Commission is inviting comments from the bench, bar, and public regarding the qualifications of 19 candidates for pending vacancies on the D.C. Superior Court created by the retirement of Judges Peter A. Krauthamer and Hiram E. Puig-Lugo. The commission will submit the names of three applicants for each vacancy to the president of the United States for his consideration.
The commission has created a web-based survey to facilitate the comment process and has posted the applicants’ biographical sketches here. The deadline is 5 p.m. on July 7.
