2025 D.C. Bar Elections Now Open for Nominations

December 16, 2024

The D.C. Bar Nominations Committee is now accepting nominations from members wishing to be candidates in the 2025 D.C. Bar elections. The deadline for receipt of nominations is January 15.

Open positions include D.C. Bar president-elect, treasurer-elect, at-large Board of Governors members (five vacancies), members of the American Bar Association (ABA) House of Delegates (two vacancies), and under-36 member of the ABA House of Delegates. All candidates must be active members of the D.C. Bar, and all candidates for the ABA House of Delegates positions must also be ABA members. Leadership experience with D.C. Bar committees, voluntary bar associations, or the Bar’s Communities is highly desirable.

Voting in the 2025 D.C. Bar elections will take place in late spring. The new officers will be sworn in at the D.C. Bar Celebration of Leadership in June.
