Superior Court Order Allows CJCC to Access Juvenile Records

The Superior Court of the District of Columbia has issued Administrative Order 23-23 authorizing the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) to inspect, compile, and analyze juvenile justice data described in D.C. Code § 22-4234(b-5) regarding the process and outcomes of certain programs. These include Alternatives to the Court Experience, the Juvenile Behavioral Diversion Program, Here Opportunities Prepare you for Excellence Court, and the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services.

The order, issued September 29, also allows CJCC to access data regarding aggregate outcomes of alternative dispositions and sentencing agreements.

CJCC reports or final analysis may not contain information that makes it possible to identify any party, witness, social worker, judicial officer, or other person mentioned in the records.

Superior Court Order Allows CJCC to Access Juvenile Records

On September 6 the Superior Court of the District of Columbia issued Administrative Order 24-12 authorizing the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) to inspect, compile, and analyze data on criminal justice and juvenile justice systems so it can regularly publish aggregate data pursuant to DC Law 25-175.
